Daly Continues To Build His Race Creds

Conor Daly is the latest addition to the ABC Supply 500 entry list for this weekend’s NTT IndyCar Series event at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway. Daly will drive the No. 59 Gallagher Chevrolet for Carlin. He also will be in the car for the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway on Aug. 24.

The Pocono race will have 22 car-and-driver combinations, with Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden leading Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi by 16 points for the series lead with four races remaining on the 2019 calendar. Rossi won last year’s ABC Supply 500. Daly finished 15th for Harding Racing. Two practices and NTT P1 Award qualifying will be held Saturday with the 200-lap race Sunday (broadcast at 2 p.m. ET, green flag at 2:45 p.m., with the Advance Auto Parts INDYCAR Radio Network providing the radio call, including coverage on SiriusXM Radio (XM 209, Sirius 98, Internet/App 970). Saturday’s qualifying is at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Daly, who has made three starts this NTT IndyCar Series season, will drive for Andretti Autosport at the season-ending Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca on Sept. 22. He will drive the No. 25 U.S. Air Force Honda in that race. Daly has completed all but two laps in his three 2019 starts. He finished 10th in the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge for Andretti Autosport while finishing 11th at Texas Motor Speedway and 13th at Iowa Speedway for Carlin.
